教学目标：

用一般现在时表达自己想要做的事情或询问他人想要做的事情。

Do you want to visit the UN building?

    能用英文表达自己的想法和计划，或用英文询问他人的计划。　　

3. 情感目标：　　

    通过对联合国的背景知识的了解，让孩子知道，世界和平发展是人类的共同目标。

学习策略：　　

    采用激励性评价，在教学活动中充分激发学生的求知欲和表现欲；通过小组合作学习，培养学生自主学习和运用语言的能力。

单词卡片，多媒体，录音机，磁带

教学步骤:　　

Step1 Warm up　　

1.  Greetings.

2.  Game.（连锁反应）

复习词组  watch TV/ speak English/play with dolls/read stories/clean your room/go swimming/ visit China/ send emails/eat bananas/play computer games…

Step2 Presentation and practice　　

1.      Guessing game.设置情境，老师第一次去美国，请学生结合刚才复习的动词词组并用上Do you want to …?句型，猜一猜老师到美国最想做的三件事。　　

通过揭示老师想做的第三件事I want to visit the UN building. 用 Guess what is the UN?(智力大闯关)问答 How much do you know about UN?  引出关于UN联合国的文化背景知识的介绍。　　

2.      Listen to the tape, find out new words and read. 出示新单词,让学生在听录音的过程中,自主学习新单词的读音,及对课文内容初步了解。并带读新词：用分音节，强调音标，拼读等方式，教授新词building, all around, peace, inside, show.　　

3.  让学生带着问题阅读,通过小组合作,找出答案,帮助学生理清文章的脉络.　　

4.  Listen to the tape and find out“want to”. (放录音磁带)　　

5.  请学生说出what do Daming, Simon and his Dad want to do? 　　

6.  Please listen to the tape again and repeat it. (跟读课文)　　

Step 4 consolidation　　

1.展示Laura写给Daming的一封信.表达Laura自己想去中国做的事。　　

2.操练Do you want to…? I want to…句型。　　

3.写信给Laura，表达自己想要去美国做的事。　　

Step 5 homework　　

1.把写给Laura的信补充完整。　　

2.抄写单词。　　

3.背诵课文，默写重点句子。
